Day 27: I am thankful for Christmas because it is a time of giving and puts everyone in a happy mood of helping others.

    Hey today is November 1st, and that is the start of our new project about being thankful. It's a 

social media experiment being done on several different media sites including Facebook and Twitter. 

    Today it is the first day and I am thankful for dance. It makes me feel free and alive,

My understanding of creative rights, is that it protects the rights of the creator of an idea they have come up with.

The materials protected by creative rights such as copyright law include literary works, music and their lyrics, dramas, including plays and musicals, and its music, choreography, pictures, graphics, paintings, sculptures, movies, video games, computer software, audio recordings, and architectural works.
What kinds of activities does copyright law prohibit?
Copyright law prohibits anyone else from copying, editing, performing, or distributing the creator’s original work without the creator’s permission.
What are your rules about copying music, games, videos, or

My rules are that you do not do this because it is illegal to copy someone else’s work. If Iever copy pictures from a site for a project, I always credit the site.

How would you feel if someone else took credit for something
you created? What if they made money from it?
I would feel, if this happened to me, angry, upset and, in a way
used. This is because I spent time thinking of this idea,
whatever it may be, and took the time and effort to
make this idea come to life. If they made money from it, it would still be extremely wrong, but about the money aspect it would depend on where the money went. If it went to charity, I would still be angry, but wouldn't care as much about the money. However, if it went in their own pocket, I would be even more angry, and would be more serious about finding the person and trying to get the rights back and maybe even some of the money.

Dear Producers and Editors of This American Life,        

   This story is about students' lives and opinions about different aspects of Sion. One key story is a large controversy. Which is better Coed or single gender. This story will share the opinions and stories from teachers and staff relating to this largely talked about debate. There are several differences between the two as you will read from theses opinions, including some of the advantages and disadvantages of both. Also you will hear hilarious stories about events that would never happen at a Coed school and some that will never happen at Sion.
     Another story is about the diversity of Sion with its foreign exchange program. There will be stories from those who are in Sion high schools around the globe. There will also be stories from the students who have been exchange students in other countries over seas and who have traveled over seas to visit the Sion school in Missouri. The students will share hilarious stories and tell of the advantages and disadvantages of being the exchange student.
    Then one other story is about how those who have already graduated tell stories about their time at Sion, and we see how it has changed from their years here. They can also tell us how Sion has helped them in college, finding a job, and beyond. They will tell us what class, teacher, after school activity, or any other aspect of Sion helped them the most. They can give tips on getting a job and using your knowledge from Sion or your high school to help you out in the real world.

Hey, these are some reflection questions from listening to the radio show This American Life .

1)  For middle school, I was at Cure of Ars that I had been at since preschool. I had made strong friendships with many people. In 25 years, I think I will still remember reading 12 Angry Men  in my Literature class in seventh grade and learning and researching Diane Fossey for a wax museum project in seventh grade as well. I think I will also remember learning how to dissect a squid and frog in my seventh grade science class. There are however, a few events that I hope I remember in 25 years. Most of these memories are from my eighth grade year. I especially hope that I remember my eighth grade musical production of Mulan. During this play I made so many memories and strengthened and created many friendships. I was an ancestor and my best friend was Mulan. There were four other ancestors, Ellie, Delaney, Maggie, and C.J. I created stronger friendships with all of them through the long hours of rehearsals and the shows. It was a great experience to do one last group project with everyone in my grade. I also hope that I remember my eighth grade retreat as well. This was so much fun and strengthened our class's bond. We had it at Camp Tekakwitha and did several of the camp activities such as the power-pole and several trust and bonding exercises. One of the other memories I hope that I remember was my eighth grade graduation. This was one of the highlights of my middle school years. It was bitter-sweet. Our class was a tight- knit group, and at the after party there were several tears shed. However, it was still a lot of fun and is still one of my favorite memories.
      In every middle school "career" there are always a few low points for everyone. For me that was parts of sixth grade. Don't get me wrong, sixth grade had several high points, but this was the most dramatic year of my life. There was a lot of gossip and rumors between close friends. Some of this happened to me and I hope that in 25 years I will have completely forgotten about it.
2)   I have never moved schools except when I moved this year to Sion. However, during my 3 years in middle school, many new students came to my school in seventh and eighth grade. During seventh grade a girl named Kathia came to our school from Florida. I met her at a swimming party before school started, and we became friends. Also a girl named Mikaela and we became better friends during eighth grade year and the play. And a girl named Kate who was super nice as well. Also eighth grade several new students came to our school a girl named Madison and another one named Maddie. There were also 2 boys, named Colin and Will. Madison and I became close friends and she was super funny and sweet. These people that came as new students knowing, some of them, no one, left knowing everyone and being part of our graduating class. We all became one class. I found these new students as new opportunities to make friends that I might have for the rest of my life.
3)   During middle school, everyone is trying to figure out who they are and is trying out different personalities. One girl in my grade was somewhat like this. One day she would be really mean, and the next really nice. She would be your friend and be so nice and funny and was a great friend in sixth grade. Then, in seventh grade she had changed, but was still really nice but was more serious and talked about different topics and had different interests. She was trying out different personalities trying to figure out who she was and who she wanted to become. This was an interesting experience to see how she changed and how all her interests changed over my three years of middle school.

Hello again. This is Madison and I am writing a product review over one of my favorite products shoes, and in particular Sperrys. There are so many different styles and colors to choose from. There are sequins, brown leather, hiking boots, ballet flats, boat shoes in orange, silver, black, gold, leopard, and so many more. They are cute and can go with just about and casual outfit, and are fairly durable. There are many sites that have the same cute and durable Sperrys at lower more afordable prices. Hey! Today is the day of our freshman retreat. Well, I think this will be exciting. This will be a great experience and I will have such a great opportunity to meet new people in my grade. I am also excited to have the opportunity to be with the people I already know and "go to camp" with them. We are going to be traveling to Prairie Star Ranch, which I went on a day retreat to last year. I am so excited to sleeping in the cabins with my peer ministry group. I am upset that we don't get to choose who we ride the bus with and bunk with, but I am still thrilled and excited to make new friends.
The one thing that I am worried about is getting enough sleep. Well I'm sure it will all work out. Bye for now. Bye.
